Rethinking Cancer: A Hope-Filled, Holistic Approach

Cancer is one of the most feared words in healthcare. But what if the conversation around cancer didn’t have to begin with fear? This month, we’re diving deep into what cancer actually is, why we're seeing it on the rise, and how to pursue a lifestyle of prevention and healing—rooted in faith, not fear.

At this powerful evening session, we’ll explore common myths about cancer, holistic treatment options, alternative screening methods, and how our environment, lifestyle, and mindset all play a role. Whether you have a family history of cancer, are navigating a diagnosis, or simply want to be informed and proactive, you’ll leave feeling encouraged and equipped. Plus, we’ll hear a personal story of healing from our own community.

Come discover a better way to approach the conversation around cancer—one that honors the body’s ability to heal, brings clarity to confusing topics, and empowers you to take action for yourself and those you love.

Friendsgiving 2025

Friendsgiving 2025 at NGFC
Tuesday, November 18th | Arrive by 5:45 PM | Dinner starts at 6:00 PM

Healthy eating over the holidays doesn’t have to sacrifice the yum! Join us for our annual Friendsgiving, a cozy adults-only evening filled with delicious food, fun, and fellowship with the NGFC family.

This year, we’ll gather around the table not only to share wholesome recipes but also to reflect on how we can care for our health—body, mind, and spirit—during the holiday season. Together, we’ll enjoy encouragement, community, and a whole lot of flavor. As usual, guests will get to vote for their favorite dishes in three categories—side, salad, and dessert—with winners in each category receiving a $50 Scheels Gift Card. To make the night extra special, every recipe will be collected into a digital cookbook to share with attendees.

Because we’re committed to health, all dishes must meet the following guidelines: organic ingredients, grass-fed animal products, no vegetable/seed oils, refined sugar free, and grain free. Guests should arrive at 5:45 PM to set up their dish, as dinner will begin promptly at 6:00.

Space is limited to 25 guests, so we encourage you to sign up soon! To register, we’ll need your name, email, the dish you plan to bring, and a copy of your recipe emailed to us. Recipes must be submitted by Tuesday, November 11th. You can find the sign-up sheet in office starting October 20th!

We can’t wait to celebrate this special evening with you—sharing food, fellowship, and encouragement for a healthy holiday season!

Come ready for some holiday fun! We’ll have a photo booth for pictures with Santa, light holiday refreshments (Simple Mills brownies and a cozy twist on hot cocoa made with our chocolate bone broth protein), and an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. Patients are welcome to wear their sweaters during their Tuesday adjustments, but to be entered into the contest you’ll need to join us at the party!

Nutrition 102: Fueling the Body God Gave You

Your body is a masterpiece—fearfully and wonderfully made by God, designed to heal, grow, and thrive when given the right support. But in a world full of fad diets, toxic food culture, and overwhelming nutrition advice, it’s easy to feel confused, defeated, or stuck in survival mode.

At this month’s Teach ’n Preach, we’re going deeper than the basics. “Nutrition 102: Fueling the Body God Gave You” is about reclaiming the purpose of food as fuel—not punishment, not perfection. We’ll unpack the power of a healthy mindset, the dangers of diet myths, and why your goals—whether it’s fat loss, muscle gain, hormone balance, or better energy—deserve a personalized and grace-filled approach.

Together, we’ll explore what body composition really means, how to eat for your specific needs, and how to break free from all-or-nothing thinking. You’ll learn how to read labels without fear, discover the value of whole-food swaps and nourishing brands, and walk away with real tools for meal planning and prep that work whether you’re cooking for one or feeding a family.

Most importantly, you’ll be reminded that your body is not a project—it’s a temple. Come be equipped to fuel it with intention, encouraged to ditch shame for grace, and inspired to move forward—one meal, one step, one day at a time.

Brain Games

Brain Games

The human brain is a beautiful and intentional gift—uniquely designed by God and unlike anything else in creation. And yet, in today’s world, we’re seeing a heartbreaking rise in memory loss, developmental disorders, and neurological struggles—affecting everyone from the very young to the very old. But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

At this month’s Teach 'n Preach, we’ll explore how to support the brain through every season of life. Whether it’s understanding brain development in children, navigating the shifts that happen during menopause, or guarding against Alzheimer’s and dementia, you’ll discover that there are practical, powerful ways to bolster your brain at every stage. We'll talk about spectrum and neurodivergence, how toxins like microplastics and heavy metals impact cognitive function, and what brain fog is really telling you. You’ll learn about the role of nutrition—especially healthy fats—in supporting memory, attention, and focus, as well as the deep connection between your gut and your brain. And of course, we’ll highlight why restful sleep is one of the most healing things you can give your brain.

No matter where you are on the journey, there are steps you can take to protect and strengthen this amazing organ. Come be encouraged, equipped, and reminded that your brain was made with purpose—and that healing and clarity are possible.
