Mental Health Matters

  • Northgate Family Chiropractic 12245 Voyager Parkway Colorado Springs, CO, 80921 United States (map)

Mental health is something every single one of us has—because we all have a mind, will, and emotions. At NGFC, we believe mental health is not a niche topic or something reserved for “when things get really bad,” but a foundational part of whole-body, whole-person health. Just like physical health, our mental health requires care, support, and intentional rhythms.

This month’s Teach ’n Preach will take the form of a guided conversation between Dr. Marc and our Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Sam, as they explore the important topic of mental health. With a degree in psychology, her own personal lived experience, and over six years of experience working in the mental health field across both nonprofit and public sector settings, Sam brings professional insight along with personal perspective to this discussion.

Together, Dr. Marc and Sam will thoughtfully navigate what mental health really means, why it matters, and how it shapes our daily lives, relationships, and overall well-being. This conversation will approach the topic with the grace and respect it deserves, exploring mental health through a whole-person lens—spirit, soul, and body—while acknowledging the complexities many people face.

Our hope is to create a welcoming and safe space where honest conversation can happen, stigma can be reduced, and understanding can grow. Whether you are personally navigating mental health challenges or simply want to learn more about supporting yourself and others, this evening is an opportunity to listen, reflect, and be reminded that hope, healing, and community are always within reach.
